"Kachi" starring Binu Pappu will be in Neestream from May 20 : Pre-Book starts

Kachi The film, directed by Binshad Nazar, has a unique plot that puts an elderly lady in the centre of a thriller.
Speaking of the film, which is now set release on May 20 through Neestream, A leading Malayalam OTT platform. The debut director says, “This is a subject that has not been attempted in Malayalam cinema. It is a thriller and a survival story that is woman-oriented, but with an elderly lady who is 68 years old. She plays a bold woman, who only has her granddaughter with her. The film also has a message of how we could cope if we are faced with a dangerous situation in our own home.”
Manohari Amma, who played Asif Ali’s mother, in Kettiyolaanu Ente Malakha, stood out for her fortitude in a difficult situation, when her son faced troubles in his marriage. Now the actor looks set to play another bold character in upcoming movie Kachi.
The film, which was shot in Alappuzha, also stars Binu Pappan, Sinoj Varghese of Angamali Diaries fame, and Shreshta playing the granddaughter. Kachi, which means straw “is an important part of the story”
The screenplay is by Devan Subrahmaniyan and debutant cinematographer Sreekanth Easwar is the DoP. Editing is by Basodh T Baburaj.
